“A man can hit sixes .
A legend can score centuries.
Only a Warrior can defeat death, defy destiny and become immortal.
Yes ! I am talking about Yuvraj Singh.”
Today Yuvraj retires from all forms of cricket and brings back memories from lost days.
I still remember the day when I believed that India can win world cups. It was the under 19 cricket world cup in 2000. I was in school and became a fan of Yuvraj.
His entry into the international career was burdened with huge expectations as he scored a mammoth individual score in domestic cricket. I have watched that very debut match of his. Since then I have witnessed how he won the match for us in NatWest trophy, how he made us a winner in first T20 world cup and 2011 world cup. All along his career he thrashed bowlers and established himself as the best all-rounder India has ever produced.
The world cup of 2011 was over and I came to know that he was suffering from cancer. I was praying for his recovery. Never knew he is such a warrior who can defeat death too.
He recovered from that deadly phase of life and became the most inspirational character for every individual on this planet.
I cried a lot when I read his autobiography but the most inspiring moment was when I was going through the worst phase of my life I just looked at his photo hanging on my wall, I just smiled back and fuelled infinite energy within myself to fight the test of my life.
And yes I heard it right that he has retired from all form of cricket not from our hearts. Every time I face any odd days of my life I just look at him and get ready to fight , and I will still be doing it for ever…
The Yuvraj is forever …
